Beauty and Brains

We left Fiona alone for a few minutes today to play with her new Lego set. When we returned, we were amazed to find that she had built this. Wow, she not only has the family beauty but she also has the family brains!

These are pictures taken on September 17, 2006 when we took Fiona on her first visit to a park. She had a great time until we put her on the grass, then the fun was all over. The grass made her cry.

Birthday & Christmas Plans

Dear Friends & Family; Family & Friends, Fiona’s first birthday is coming up quickly. As of yet, we haven’t finalized the party plans. If you’re planning on being in Las Vegas or Denver area come Oct. 14th, please let us know so that we may include you. If you’d like to set up a time for a Fiona, Birthday, web chat, please contact me. You don’t need a web cam, but you will need the latest version of Microsoft Instant Messenger installed, updated & running. You will also want to know your screen name, password and be familiar with the software. Don’t wait until the last minuet, as Fiona’s schedule is likely to be booked; we can only have one web session at a time! We have decided to have Christmas at our house this year. Whether in Vegas or Colorado, everyone is invited to attend and everyone is welcome at our house! Fiona has a photo album and enjoys looking at pictures of family and pictures of dogs we’ve found in the junk mail. Feel free to send her any photos of yourselves, so that she is better able to put faces with names and the voices she hears over the phone. Feel free to include dog pictures, as she loves to look at them and pant. It is unnecessary to send gifts for Fiona’s birthday or Christmas, so please don’t feel obligated to do so. Phone calls are a special treat for Fiona, and she would love to hear from you. If you’d like to send her a gift, please note that she already has a coat and Christmas dress for the season, as well as, a 1st birthday party hat. She has no 12 mo or 18 mo toys. If we stay in Vegas, heavy winter items and clothing will only get used Dec. – Feb. If we move to Colorado, then they will get used much more often. So many of you were thoughtful and generous in sending Fiona cute outfits, and I felt so bad that she wasn’t able to wear them! By the time she grew into the winter clothes, summer had arrived! Of course, then she hit a big growth spurt and outgrew the summer ensembles! Crazy little monkey girl! Speaking of monkey girl, I am looking for a monkey costume in the $20 range for Halloween. I don’t get out of the house much; so if any of you sees one, let me know where! Thank you very much for your assistance:)

Fiona Update

As you can all imagine, Fiona is growing by leaps and bounds and now is fully into her 9-12 month clothes. A big thanks to everyone who has sent her cute outfits and toys! She was visited by both of her grandmas this summer and made out with tons of new toys! Her mama enjoys having different toys to play with too. Fiona’s vocabulary is also increasing. Not only is “Dada” her favorite person, it’s her favorite word. She screams “Dada” whenever she sees her Dada and when she is doing something new and exciting, like sticking her finger up her nose, or Dada’s nose. “Mama” is a very special word reserved for when she is hungry or tired. Fiona enjoys drinking milk from her “ba-ba” and trying new foods “bup” in her highchair. She loves crawling over Petey “Da” and pulling out “Eeeeee” Cat’s hair. (Petey Dog has a new found love for Fiona, as she will happily share her Cheerios. Whylee Cat has discovered that he really can move faster than he once believed.) Yesterday, three out of four times, Fiona informed her Mama that she had a “poof” on her “bup.” Today, Mama had to find out the stinky way, and when the diaper comes off, she has felt free to then expound upon the “poof” on her “bup”. Today, however, she has shown that she takes after her mother in a fabulous way! When speaking to her Daddy on the phone, she belched the word “Dada” and giggled. It makes a Mommy proud. It’s a Fussy Pants week in-store as Fiona is sprouting her top, two, front teeth.
